Summary
AIR CIRCULATION RATES HAVE BEEN MEASURED COMMONLY WITH VANE OR THERMAL ANEMOMETERS. AN APPARATUS HAS BEEN DESIGNED, CONSTRUCTED AND CALIBRATED TO MEASURE THE AIR CIRCULATION RATE UNDER VARIABLE PRESSURE LOADS TO AN ACCURACY OF + OR -2%.IT HAS BEEN FOUND THAT COMPARED TO THIS APPARATUS, MEASUREMENTS WITH VANE ANEMOMETERS OVERESTIMATED THE FLOW RATE BY 10TO 55% AND A HOT-WIRE ANEMOMETER BY 5 TO 40%.
