Measurements of isobaric heat capacity of R1336mzz(Z).

Number: 0851

Author(s) : KAGAWA N., MATSUGUCHI A.

Summary

The specific isobaric heat capacity (cp) of R 1336mzz(Z) (cis-1,1,1,4,4-hexafluoro-2-butene) was measured in the gas phase at temperatures from 318 K to 368 K and pressures from 0.08 MPa to 0.45 MPa. Some of them are close to the saturation curve. The expanded uncertainty of the temperature measurement (k=2) was estimated to be less than 54 mK (usually less than 30 mK), the expanded uncertainty of the pressure measurement was less than 1.7 kPa, and the cp expanded uncertainty was determined to be less than 54 J·kg- 1·K-1 (usually less than 30 J·kg-1·K-1). The experimental data were compared in detail to an available equation of state that is in good agreement with them. These data are essential for improving the available model to more reliably represent the thermodynamic properties of R 1336mzz(Z) used in refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump systems.
