Summary
MEASUREMENTS OF THE SURFACE TENSION FOR CFC ALTERNATIVES HAVE BEEN MADE BY THE VERTICAL PLATE METHOD. THE CFC ALTERNATIVES TREATED IN THIS STUDY ARE HCFC123, HCFC225CA AND HCFC225CB. HCFC123 IS A PRIME CANDIDATE FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF R11 IN REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS AND IN FOAM BLOWING APPLICATIONS. ON THE OTHER HAND, HCFC225CA AND HCFC225CB ARE CANDIDATES FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF R113 AS A CLEANING SOLVENT IN PRECISION ENGINEERINGAND ELECTRONICS INDUSTRIES.
