MEASUREMENTS OF THE SURFACE TENSION FOR HCFC123 AND HFC134A.

Author(s) : OKADA M.

Summary

TWO MEASUREMENT METHODS FOR SURFACE TENSION WERE USED: CAPILLARY ADSORPTION AND DIFFERENTIAL CAPILLARY ADSORPTION WITH 3 GLASS CAPILLARIES, OF AN INTERNAL RADIUS OF 0.1630 ; 0.3035 AND 0.5711 MM. THE MEASUREMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE AT THE EQUILIBRIUM BETWEEN THE LIQUID AND ITS VAPOUR, BETWEEN 273 AND 443 K (0 AND 170 DEG C) FOR R123 AND BETWEEN 273 K AND 353 K (0 AND 80 DEG C) FOR R134A. THE VARIATION OF THE RESULTS WITH TEMPERATURE WAS REPRESENTED BY THE VAN DER WAALS CORRELATION.
