Summary
The refrigerants of interest are the HCFCs; namely R123, R123a, R124, R141b, R142, R142b, R255ca and R225cb, and HFCs; namely R23, R32, R125, R134, R134a and R152a. In recent years, surface tension measurements have been carried out for those refrigerants by investigators including the present authors, and the correlations which represent the temperature dependence of surface tension have also been reported. Those data and correlations are compiled in the study. In addition, new surface tension correlations have been established for R134a and R123. These correlations have been accepted as the international standard for the surface tension of R134a and R123 in Annex 18 of IEA.
