Summary
The paper reports thermodynamic properties of R142b, ie, vapour pressures, the critical pressure, PVT properties, and saturated points in a wide range of temperatures from 297 to 443 K, of pressures from 0.3 to 9.4 megapascals, and of densities from 71 to 970 kg/m3, respectively. For R142b, 139 vapour pressure and PVT measurements have been accomplished along 17 isochores. On the basis of the experimental measurements along each isochore, the authors have determined 7 saturated points (4 saturated liquid and 3 saturated vapour points), and the critical pressure of R142b. They have developed a vapour pressure correlation originated from the 69 vapour pressure measurements and compared it with other vapour pressure data and correlations for R142b. They have compared the results with saturated liquid density measurements and correlations reported by other investigators.
