Mechanical integrity and carbon steel refrigerant piping.

Type of article: Article
Summary
As an equipment class, refrigerant piping is a vulnerable area and corrosion under insulation the primary concern. Proper prevention, in the form of a good insulation system including a coating on the pipe, will help extend the life expectancy of carbon steel piping, but a thorough inspection and testing programme should also be implemented.
