Summary

WHEN HEAT IS RECOVERED FROM A REFRIGERATION PLANT BY MEANS OF A SECONDARY CONDENSER CONNECTED IN PARALLEL WITH THE MAIN ONE, THE REGULATION OF THE USEFUL THERMAL POWER IS OFTEN PERFORMED BY A THREE-WAY VALVE WHICH CAN BE LOCATED IN THE CIRCUIT, EITHER BEFORE OR AFTER THE CONDENSERS. THE AUTHOR ANALYSES THE ADVANTAGES AND DRAWBACKS OF DIFFERENT VALVE LOCATIONS. A VALVE AFTER THE CONDENSERS IS THE BEST SOLUTION FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF DIMENSIONS AND ENERGY SAVING, BUT THE RESPONSE TIME OF THE SYSTEM IS SOMETIMES SLOW. E. F.
