MICROCOMPUTER CONTROL OF REFRIGERANT FLOW IN EVAPORATOR.

Author(s) : TOYODA N., WATANABE K.

Summary

FOR ENERGY SAVING IN A LARGE PLANT, THE AUTHORS OBSERVED THAT THE CONTROL OF REFRIGERANT FLOW RATE THROUGH THE EVAPORATOR CONTRIBUTE TO THE IMPROVEMENT OF REFRIGERATION CAPACITY. A UNIQUE FLOW CONTROL WAS DEVELOPED. A MICROCOMPUTER AUTOMATICALLY CONTROLS SUPERHEATING AT THE OUTLET OF THE EVAPORATOR. THE TEST SHOWS THAT HIGH ACCURACY CAN BE OBTAINED IN THE CONTROL OF REFRIGERANT FLOW ; REFRIGERATION CAPACITY IS INCREASED BY 20% -223 K (-50 DEG C) IN THE COLD ROOM -AND COP IS 15%.
