DETERMINATION OF THE FREEZING POINT DEPRESSION OF MILK IS AN INTERNATIONALLY USED TEST TODETERMINE WHETHER MILK IS FREE FROM EXTRANEOUS WATER. WHEN FREEZING POINT DEPRESSION IS HIGHER THAN -0.535 K THE MILK SUPPLY IS ASSUMED TO BE FREE FROM EXTRANEOUS WATER.
