Type of article: Article
Summary
Cut rose stems were pulsed for 4 h with silver thiosulfate, silver nitrate of RNA-Ag+tris (a ribonucleic acid-silver complex and trishydroxymethylaminomethane), stored dry at 5 °C for 24 h to simulate transport, and then placed in tap water for vase life determination. The effects of these different treatments on vase life, bent neck incidence, water uptake and presence of microorganisms in the stem, are studied.
