Summary
The use of an electrostatic field in the cooling of heat carriers in an air-evaporative chiller makes it possible to increase the heat transfer coefficient and to reduce water consumption. The algorithm as obtained on the basis of the analysis of the constraint equations of the surface energy, the intensity of the electrostatic field, radius of drops and their electric and thermophysical characteristics can be used as the basis for engineering principles of refrigerating system construction.
