Summary
A STEADY-STATE MODEL OF REFRIGERANT FLOW THROUGH A CAPILLARY TUBE IS OUTLINED. THE MODEL IS BASED ON HOMOGENEOUS FLOW ASSUMPTIONS FOR THE TWO-PHASE FLOW REGION. IT IS FOUND THAT A METASTABLE (SUPERHEATED LIQUID) REGION HAS TO BE ACCOUNTED FOR IN ORDER TO REACH GOOD AGREEMENT WITH A RATHER EXTENSIVE DATA SET.
