Summary
On the basis of a liquid air separation system for the production of 50 000 m3/h (oxygen), 70 000 m3/h (nitrogen) and 1800 m3/h (argon) the procedure used for very low-temperature rectification is described. The necessary cooling equipment is based on the Joule-Thomson effect. For the transport of the gases to the big consumers, a remote controlled pipeline system is used.
