IT HAS BECOME ECONOMICALLY ATTRACTIVE TO EMPLOY TECHNICALLY SOPHISTICATED METHODS FOR THE RECOVERY OF USEFUL COMPONENTS FROM COMPLEX OR LOW-QUALITY FEED STOCKS. THESE PROCESSES HAVE COMPLICATED PHASE DIAGRAMS AND SEVERAL LIQUID PHASES AND CRITICAL POINTS MAY OCCUR. THIS PAPER DESCRIBES A FLOW-SHEETING PROGRAM INVOLVING ALL PROCEDURES REQUIRED FOR THE STUDY AND SIMULATION OF THE PLANT HANDLING THESE MIXTURES.
