New Ne-He purification plant: theoretical and experimental tests.

Summary

A comparison of two different methods for final Ne-He mixture purification from nitrogen is presented in the paper. It is shown that freezing makes it possible to decrease the power consumption and dimensions of the installation for final Ne-He mixture purification and increase neon extraction efficiency. Schemes of the pilot-industrial installation, which can produce up to 45 m3/h of pure neon-helium mixture as well as results of its experimental test are described.
