The article presents new systems used for packing food kept at low temperatures. It introduces vacuum packaging as well as materials used and the types of packaging used in this system. Active and intelligent packaging as well as the conventional food packaging are discussed. It demonstrates the advantages of new, enhanced packaging. This packaging is not only insulated, but also innovative.
