Next generation insulation foam blowing agents for refrigerator/freezers.
Author(s) : HAWORTH G. J.
Summary
Several HFC and other non HCFC foam blowing agents have been evaluated as possible replacements for HCFC-141b, HCFC-142b and HCFC-22. Foam k-factor, cabinet reverse heat leak and US Department of Energy energy usage were measured for cabinets insulated with foams made with the candidate blowing agents. Several major appliance manufacturers, foam suppliers and blowing agent suppliers cooperated in this joint research project.
