Non-azeotropic mixtures behaviour in flooded-evaporator systems.

Summary

Calculation of thermodynamic properties of a 3 components mixture is based on Peng-Robinson equation of state. This calculation method is coupled with a mathematical model designed to simulate a real industrial refrigerating plant. Refrigerant's distillation is studied when using a non azeotropic mixture in such an installation. Theoretical results obtained with a near azeotropic mixture (R404A) are compared to experimental real scale results.
