THE AUTHORS POINT OUT THAT CFCS AND HCFCSADD TO THE GREENHOUSE EFFECT, SO WHEN HCFC-22 IS USED AS A MORE OZONE-FRIENDLY GAS THAN R12 OR R502, CARE MUST STILL BE TAKEN TO PREVENT IT ENTERING THE ATMOSPHERE. ALSO TO BE REMEMBERED IS THE CARBON DIOXIDE EMITTED WHEN ELECTRICITY IS PRODUCED, MAKING ENERGY EFFICIENCY A PRIORITY IN ALL SYSTEMS. PRACTICAL POINTS ARE DISCUSSED FOR ENSURING THAT A SYSTEM IS ENERGY EFFICIENT D. W. H.
