Summary

NUCLEAR SPIN-LATTICE RELAXATION OF 60 COBALT IN ALLOYS WITH GIANT MAGNETIC MOMENTS BASED ON PALLADIUM AND PLATINUM IS INVESTIGATED BY THE NUCLEAR ORIENTATION TECHNIQUE. THE INCREASE OF THE RELAXATION RATE OBSERVED ON TRANSITION FROM (PALLADIUM) 99 COBALT 1 TO (PLATINUM) 99 COBALT 1 DIFFERS SHARPLY FROM THE RESULTS FOR PALLADIUM AND PLATINUM NUCLEI IN PURE METALS FOR WHICH THE RELAXATION RATES ARE VIRTUALLY THE SAME.
