Summary

If the vertical temperature difference in room caused by thermal delamination of displacement ventilation is too high, people may feel uncomfortable. To increase the cooling capacity of air-conditioning systems, the combination of displacement ventilation and cooling ceiling cannot only improve the indoor air quality, enhance the thermal comfort but also make energy saving. In the paper, based on the model of CFD, a numerical simulation of the temperature field, indoor airflow field and thermal comfort in room with and without a cooling ceiling was processed by using a finite-volume method, and the result of the simulation was analysed in order to give advice to engineers or designers.
