Summary

THE RESULTS OF A STUDY ARE REPORTED ON THE THERMAL BEHAVIOUR OF EXTERNAL WALLS IN THE PRESENCE OF GLAZED SURFACES. THE GRAPHS PUT IN EVIDENCE THE OPERATIONAL MODES OF THE THERMAL CAPACITIES OF THE OPAQUE EXTERNAL WALLS IN RELATION TO THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE THERMAL EXCURSIONS. IN PARTICULAR IT IS SHOWN HOW, DURING INSOLATION HOURS, CONDITIONS ON THE INSIDE OF THE EXTERNAL WALL CAN OCCUR, WHICH CORRESPOND TO ABSORPTION OR TO INSTANTANEOUS THERMAL FLOWS DIRECTED TOWARDS THE AMBIENT, AS A FUNCTION OF THE THERMAL INERTIA CHARACTERISTICS OF THE WALLS THEMSELVES.
