Summary
Recent advances in technology have been used to control cold stores for fruits and vegetables, but there are still many shortcomings with such control techniques, the main one being that they are unable to provide optimum online predictive control of cooling systems. A 2-stage radial basis function (RBF) neural network was proposed for optimum predictive online control. The 2-stage RBF neural network was successfully applied to the optimum predictive online temperature control of a real cold store.
