Summary

In order to improve the energy efficiency of traditional room air conditioners, this paper presented the heat pipe combined evaporative cooling room air conditioner. This study built the mathematical model and carried out programming to make simulation analysis on the annual dynamical operating performance of the heat pipe combined evaporative cooling room air conditioner under different area parameters of heat exchangers, and then took into account the economic factors, to obtain that the optimal areas of evaporator and condenser were respectively 14.89 m2 and 23.07 m2. In addition, based on the optimal areas, it was concluded that the COP of the combined room air conditioner increased by 33.27%, and energy consumption reduced by 32.83%, comparing with traditional air conditioner, which didn’t include evaporative cooling technology and separate type heat pipe technology.
