Summary
USING THE SECOND THERMODYNAMIC PRINCIPLE, THE AUTHOR SHOWS AN ANALYSIS OF A SINGLE-STAGE R12 COMPRESSION SYSTEM. A DETAILED ANALYSIS IS SHOWN FOR THE CONDENSER WHICH IS COOLED BY AIR ; IT ALLOWS TO DISCRIMINATE BETWEEN THE LOSSES OCCURRING IN THE COOLING COMPARTMENT AND IN THE AIR COMPARTMENT. USING THE DATA FROM THIS ANALYSIS, SIMPLE ANALYTICAL SOLUTION IS GIVEN: IT DESCRIBES THE AIR FLOW IN THE CONDENSER WHEN THE TOTAL POWER IN THE CONDENSER COMPRESSOR AND FAN IS MINIMUM.
