Summary
A CALCULATION MODEL AND PROGRAMS FOR THE SUCTION AND DISCHARGE PIPE SYSTEMS OF HEAT PUMP COMPRESSORS ARE DESCRIBED, BASED ON THE THEORY OF ONE-DIMENSIONAL UNSTEADY FLOW. ON CONDITION THAT PRESSURE PULSATIONS IN THE PLENUMS ARE NOT TOO LARGE, THE MOVEMENT OF VALVES IS EXCELLENT, THE INDICATED POWER IS A MINIMUM AND BY USING THE MENTIONED CALCULATION METHOD, THE OPTIMUM VOLUME FOR SUCTION AND DISCHARGE PLENUMS ARE OBTAINED.
