Summary

PERIODICALLY OPERATING ABSORPTION HEAT PUMPS (PAHPS) ARE PROMISING HEATING UNITS IN VIEW OF THEIR OPERATIONAL RELIABILITY AND MAINTENANCE. TO INVESTIGATE THESE SYSTEMS, A NUMERICAL SIMULATION PROGRAMME HAS BEEN DEVELOPED. THE INFLUENCE OF DIFFERENT PARAMETERS ON THE COP OF PAHPS WITH AMMONIA-WATER AS A WORKING FLUID WAS INVESTIGATED. WITH THESE RESULTS, THE PAHPS COULD BE DESIGNED WITH REGARD TO OPTIMAL OPERATION CONDITIONS.
