Parameter-based study of solid adsorption systems for solar refrigeration.

Summary
In the applications of solar adsorption refrigerated machines, we need to know the influence of several parameters on the efficiency of this machines and their operation. In this work the authors established a mathematical model described an ideal adsorption cycle. From the four characteristic temperatures of this cycle and the metallic mass of the adsorber they can calculate the COP by choosing the Dubinin-Astakhov model to describe the phenomenon of adsorption of the activated carbon pairs. The set of data allows us therefore to calculate the performances and the operating limits of the machine by the survey of the influence of the adsorption temperature and regeneration temperature on the capacity, on the cycled mass and on the COP.
