Parameters affecting the quality coefficient for insulated vehicles.
Author(s) : PANOZZO G., ALBERTI O., TONIOLO B., et al.
Summary
The quality coefficient can be defined as the ratio between the real K value of a vehicle and the theoretical K, evaluated for a "virtual" vehicle of the same dimensions, without thermal bridges. A statistical analysis of the results of the ATP tests in the 5 official stations in Italy, in particular from the ITEF-CNR Test Station in Padova and the "Istituto Sperimentale delle Ferrovie dello Stato" in Rome, let us to discriminate the relative influence of several constructive elements in the K value and in the effects in the quality coefficient calculation.
