Summary
Thermodynamic and dynamic simulation has been conducted to investigate the performance variations of a hermetic reciprocating compressor with HC-600a versus R12. A new compressor for HC-600a has been developed and a variety of tests has been conducted to obtain the desired reliability. Experimental performance evaluation of this compressor is presented.
