Performance analysis of a compression-ejection cycle for domestic refrigeration.

Summary

The paper presents a theoretical analysis of a compression-ejection hybrid cycle for domestic refrigeration. With this cycle, the ejector is employed to reduce the loss of available energy due to the large temperature difference between the fresh food section and the freezer section. The model is computer-generated in FORTRAN. The refrigerant properties are evaluated by using REFPROP V8.0. According to the simulation results of the hybrid cycle using several refrigerants, the ejector cycle can reach a higher COP compared with the standard cycle.
