Summary
In this study, an experimental and analytical approach was made concerning plate-type rectifiers. In the experiment, the effect of vapour flow rate and ammonia mass concentration of solution on rectifying performance were investigated. And in the analysis the model of heat and mass transfer was proposed considering the distribution of mass concentration in the boundary layer. As a result, it was found that ammonia mass concentration at the rectifier outlet slightly decreased as vapour flow rate increased and that the model could predict ammonia mass concentration in outlet vapour for various concentrations in the solution.
