Performance analysis on an improved ASHP cycle for cold areas.

Summary
To increase the heating capacity of air source heat pumps (ASHP) in cold regions, an improved heat pump cycle with scroll compressor economizer was developed. The results obtained using the prototype demonstrate that it can realize high temperature water supply and high capacity even under low ambient temperatures of -10 to about -15 °C.
