Summary

The energy consumption of building heating increases continuously. The efficiency of a low-temperature heating system, compression-assisted absorption heat transformer (CAHT), can become higher when ambient air temperature decreases. There are two compression-assisted approaches, and the two different CAHTs using them are compared with each other in present study. Consequently, the COP of CAHT increases with the decrease of ambient temperature, and the performance of high-pressure boosting CAHT is better.
