Performance evaluation of advanced adsorption cycle driven by near-environment temperature waste heat: comparison with conventional cycle.

Author(s) : SAHA B. B., KASHIWAGI T.

Summary

The authors have clarified analytically the possible operating temperature ranges for silicagel-water adsorption refrigeration cycles driven by near-environmental temperature waste heat sources (between 40 and 70 deg C) with relatively small regenerating temperature lifts (10 to 70 K). A cycle simulation computer program is developed to analyze the influence of parameters on cooling capacity and COP. Results for different cycle configurations are given.
