Summary

THE SIZING OF A SOLID/GAS CHEMICAL HEAT PUMP, ALLOWED BY THE NUMERICAL MODELLING OF THE WHOLE UNIT, LED TO THE BUILDING OF A PILOT PLANT OF 20 TO 50 KILOWATTS. THE EXPERIMENTS CARRIED OUT ON THE LATTER SHOW HOW A REAL CYCLE MAY INFLUENCE THE PERFORMANCE OF THE UNIT. THE PREDICTIVE POWER HAS BEEN REACHED AND THIS PROVES THE VALIDITY OF THE NUMERICAL MODEL. THE SIZING OF AN INDUSTRIAL UNIT IS POSSIBLE ONWARDS, AND THIS IS DONE FOR A CONTINUOUS REFRIGERATION MACHINE OF 47 KILOWATTS.
