Summary

The paper describes the performance of a 1.5 tons solar operated absorption refrigeration unit, operated with 14 square meter flat plate solar collecting system. Working pair is water and lithium bromide. The results presented in this paper are based on the operation of the unit at hours of sufficient solar intensity to operate the generator during the months of April and May, which are considered the beginning of air conditioning season in Jordan. Results are given.
