Summary
A computer model has been developed to simulate the performance of a novel thermoelectric heat pump system. The modelling was based on the performance of a small prototype system. Results were obtained for various operating and weather conditions, and these were compared with experimental results obtained for a fabricated prototype system. Reasons for differences between the modelled and test results were analysed, and correction factors were produced to modify the computer model. More accurate modelling results were then obtained. The work provides a basis for analysis and design of the thermoelectric heat pump system. [Reprinted with permission from Elsevier. Copyright, 2005].
