Performance testing of R134a and R12 refrigerants in a vapour-compression heat pump.

Summary

Testing has been carried out on a vapour-compression heat-pump system, using R12-mineral oil and R134a-mineral oil charges. A multiple-flushing technique was used to remove the mineral oil and the tests were repeated using a charge of R134a and an ester-based lubricant. The results were compared with theoretical data for R134a and R12 refrigerants.
