Summary
The article reports on the global deadlines for phase-out of ozone depleting chemicals agreed at the November 1992 meeting in Copenhagen, also the EC agreement of December 1992 which brings forward to 1st January 1995 the complete phase-out of CFCs and carbon tetrachloride. Details are also given of official deadlines applying to many individual countries, particularly where these differ from the EC or global agreements. D.W.H.
