Summary

The results were presented of experimental investigations concerning those phenomena that accompany the condensation process of R134a refrigerant in the conditions of periodic instabilities that occur in five-channel multiports that were composed of pipe minichannels with internal diameter d = 0,64 ÷3,30 mm. Hydrodynamic instabilities of a periodic nature have an impact on a deformation of the temperature profiles in the componential minichannels. The results of these influences depend chiefly from the frequency of disturbances and the diameter of the multiport minichannels. The basic phenomena were explained that accompany the condensation process in unstable conditions, and in particular those phenomena that were recognized in the multiports.
