Summary
This is an extract from a new book on ice manufacturing, dealing with the use of physical properties of ice to improve ice maker operation. Utilization methods to increase in volume during water and water solution crystallization are discussed, especially for the ice removal from the moulds of ice makers. Some patented solutions are presented. Utilization of this effect as a source of mechanical force in elevators is another idea.
