Summary
With a designed supercooled-water ice making system rig, the authors carried out grouping experiments for different evaporating temperatures and water flow rates. They analysed the influence factors of the system stable running, supercooled water formation and ice generating effect, and give explanations on their mechanism. They conclude that tap water is easier to freeze compared with pure water, and that the evaporating temperature and water flow rate have greater impacts on freezing in pipes.
