Summary

The planning of cold storage is difficult because many routine, high cost tasks have to be managed. As a result, computer tools can improve the planning of that work. REPLAS is a planning computer program which calculates the different workshop variables at the preliminary planning stage. It optimizes warehouse activity in direct proportion to the tasks to be done, and reduces operating costs.
