RECOMMENDS THE USE OF FACTORY VENTILATING SYSTEMS WITH EVAPORATIVE COOLERS AND SPOT COOLING DIFFUSERS THAT LOWER THE HEAT-STRESS INDEX FOR WORKERS TO A SAFE LEVEL. TREATS THE USE OF STRATIFIED SYSTEMS FOR FACTORIES WITH HIGH ROOFS, WHEREBY EVERYTHING BELOW TEN FEET IS COOLED BUT HOT AIR STRATIFIES ABOVE THAT LEVEL. CONSIDERS CORRECT AIR TEMPERATURES FOR SPOT COOLING. TREATS BRIEFLY NOISE INSULATION, ROOF AIR INTAKES, GLOBE TEMPERATURE, MEASURING AIR VELOCITY ACROSS THE WORKER, SUITABLE AIR OUTLETS.
