Summary
Future designs of large cryotechnical plants will increasingly rely on digital simulation of transient operating conditions. Unlike many process simulations, lengthwise heat conductivity in cryotechnical machine parts cannot be neglected. Simulation using a finite-difference process made possible a spatial separation of components into small elements, for which equations were developed (various methods of doing this were compared). The method of lines was used to calculate transient conditions.
