A TREATMENT WITH A GERMINATION INHIBITOR, CHLORPROPHAME (20 PPM), ON THE COMPOSITION OF 4 DIFFERENT VARIETIES OF POTATO TUBER STORED AT 277 K (4 DEG C) FOR 48, 55, 62 AND 69 DAYS, AND THEN FOR ONE MONTH AT AMBIANT TEMPERATURE: 291-296 K(18-23 DEG C). DIFFERENCES IN DRY MATTER AND REDUCING SUGAR CONTENTS ARE NOTED BETWEEN THE TREATED TUBERS AND THOSE STABILISED AT AMBIENT TEMPERATURE.
