THE AUTHOR REPORTS THE RESULTS OF A MATHEMATICAL SIMULATION OF SYSTEM PERFORMANCE UNDER VARIOUS CONDITIONS AND COMPARES IT TO THAT OF A CLOSED CYCLE AIR CONDITIONER (RANKINE). THE SPECIAL OPERATIONAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE ADSORPTION SYSTEM ARE AS FOLLOWS: HIGHLY EFFICIENT TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY CONTROL OF A ROOM WITH 100% AIR CHANGE ; POSSIBLE ALTERNATE HEATING AND COOLING WITH HIGH OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY ; POSSIBLE USE OF SOLAR HEAT OR, ALTERNATIVELY, OF HEAT AT A TEMPERATURE HIGHER THAN 343 K (70 DEG C).
