Summary

THE ARTICLE PRESENTS A NEW CALCULATION METHOD FOR AIR OR WATER-COOLED REFRIGERANT CONDENSERS. THE COOLING AGENT AND THE REFRIGERANT FLOW IN COUNTERFLOW. THE CONDENSER IS DIVIDED INTO THREE ZONES: THE DESUPERHEATING, THE CONDENSATION AND THE SUPERCOOLING ZONE. TWO BASIC MODELS: THE LAMINAR FLOW MODEL AND ANNULAR FLOW MODEL HAVE BEEN DEVELOPED. FOR THE DESUPERHEATING AND THE SUPERCOOLING ZONES, A UNIFORM MODEL (CALCULATION IN ELEMENTS) WAS FOUND. THE VALUES CALCULATED FOR AND MEASURED ON SEVERAL UNITS USING R22 SHOW A GOOD AGREEMENT. IT TURNED OUT THAT THE PROGRAMME SYSTEM DEVELOPED CAN ALSO BE APPLIED FOR MEDIUM MASS FLOW DENSITIES AND LOW COOLING AGENT FLOW RATES.
